What we collect

The only personal data this website collects is what you type into the "Book an appointment" form:

• Your name
• Your mobile number

We do not ask for symptoms, medical history, age, or any other health information on the website — please share those details directly with our doctors during your call or visit.

Why we collect it

Your name and mobile number are used only to arrange your appointment. When you press "Request Appointment," your browser opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message containing these details, addressed to Sharan Hospital's appointment number. We do not store this information on our servers — the message goes directly from your device to WhatsApp.

Who receives your data

• WhatsApp / Meta Platforms, Inc. — receives the appointment message you send, as the messaging platform.
• Cloudflare — our website host, which may log standard technical information (like IP address and browser type) for security and performance, as any web host does. This is not linked to your name or phone number.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone else.

How long we keep it

Appointment messages sent via WhatsApp are retained on the hospital's WhatsApp account only as long as needed to arrange and follow up on your visit, and are deleted periodically thereafter (typically within 90 days of your visit). Access to these messages is limited to authorised hospital staff.

Your rights

Under the DPDPA, you have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Ask us to delete your data, where we are not required to keep it for a legal or medical reason
• Withdraw consent for future contact

Cookies and tracking

This website does not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising trackers. We use Google Fonts to display text in our brand fonts; loading a font may cause your browser to make a request to Google's font servers. Our map is a link to Google Maps, not an embedded map, so no map-related tracking occurs unless you click through to Google Maps, which then applies Google's own privacy policy.
